Job Summary
Assist in the implementation of consumer care and administer medications to consumers according to established protocols. Provide psychiatric and medical/surgical nursing support while demonstrating proven leadership skills and good judgement. Work full-time shifts including Mon–Fri 3p–11p or 7p–7a with every-other- weekend rotation, earning a 5% shift differential for weekdays and 10% for weekends. Requires current Florida licensure, completed pharmacology coursework, and ability to sit, twist, bend, and stand for long periods across varying work locations.
Required Qualifications
- Current Florida licensure as an LPN
- Documentation of successful completion of a pharmacology course and/or examination
- One year experience in psychiatric nursing
- One year experience in medical/surgical nursing
- Proven leadership skills
- Good judgement
- Initiative
- Must be able to sit, twist, bend and stand for long periods
- Must be able to transport self from building to building and differing locations
- Must be able to communicate orally and in writing
- Must work every other weekend
