Job Summary
Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting while assisting health care providers with examinations, treatments, and routine procedures. Obtain patient health history, laboratory specimens, vital signs, and administer TB skin tests. Conduct lab tests, ensure results are delivered to the correct physician, and coordinate patient transfers to medical facilities. Administer medications, implement healthcare practitioners' orders, and document all patient contacts using the POMR format. Review patient charts to report observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient conditions. Schedule 7a-3:30p rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Current/Active state license as an LPN
- Current CPR certificate
- Proficient with electronic medical records
- Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include a background check and drug screen
