Job Summary
Deliver compassionate care to patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease in an intimate outpatient setting. Build meaningful long-term relationships with patients and families while managing unique treatment plans for those with multiple co-morbidities. Work with your head, heart, and hands in a fast-paced environment, leveraging a broad range of nursing skills. You will float to various facilities during and after training, requiring a flexible schedule that includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. No dialysis experience is required; training may take place in a facility or training clinic.
Required Qualifications
- Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice
- Current CPR certification
- IV certification if required by state regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed training program approved by the medical director and the governing body as required by CMS guidelines prior to operating the water treatment system
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
- Functional proficiency in computer systems of DaVita within 90 days of hire
- Flexible schedule and ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Commitment to improving patient health through clinical goal setting and quality improvement initiatives
- Drug-free workplace compliance (pre-employment substance abuse testing and background verification checks)
Desired Qualifications
- No Dialysis experience is required (training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic)
- Float to various facilities during and after your training
- BONENT or CHT certification
- Minimum of one year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting
- Ability to deliver care in an empathetic, compassionate way
