Job Summary
Manage day-to-day delivery of care to residents by motivating the team and ensuring the nursing process is individualized and ongoing. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address changing resident needs and ensure quality care aligns with Covenant Care policies. Provide support to residents, families, and visitors during the end-of-life journey, enabling choice, dignity, and privacy. Model the organization's mission, vision, and values while working cohesively as a professional team player. Requires current CLPNA registration, CPR/First Aid certification, and ability to work in a continuing care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Practical Nurse Program
- Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
- Current CPR / First Aid Certification / Equivalency
- Ability to speak French
- Dementia education
- Strong critical assessment skills
- Ability and knowledge to work in a continuing care setting
- Ability to deal with difficult behaviors
- Ability to cope with frequent changes such as daily routine, workload, shifts and resident needs
- Exceptional multi-tasking and time management skills
- Vaccinated against all required communicable diseases under Covenant Care's OHS policy
- Criminal record check not older than 3 months
