Job Summary
Contribute to the nursing process through systematic data collection, health assessments, and patient education while collaborating with the RN team. Initiate admission processes, identify recurrent health problems, and collect pertinent data via observation and interviews. Record all assessment data, assist in forming written care plans, and set priorities for patient needs. Administer routine and PRN medications, count controlled substances, and assist physicians in minor procedures. Maintain a safe environment, practice universal precautions, and ensure strict adherence to infection control and HIPAA regulations. Work night shifts (7pm–7:30 am) with potential on-call duty, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program
- Current licensure in the state of employment
- Conformance to security clearance standards of the institution
- Ability to pass all required health and other screening tests

- Must maintain and show bi-annual proof of active state nursing licensure with a copy to be placed in the personnel file maintained by the RN Supervisor
Desired Qualifications
- May be required to work nights, weekend, and holidays
- On-call duty may be required (available to work on short notice)
