Licensed Practical Nurse – Consultative Medicine General Internal Medicine - LPN

LPN provides nursing care under the direct supervision of an RN or supervisor in Consultative Medicine within General Internal Medicine. Responsibilities include patient visits (face-to-face and via telephone), review of patient health history and medications, immunization administration, focused nutrition assessments, and blood pressure visits. Telehealth interactions may involve collecting information prior to clinic arrival, researching prescription discrepancies, and facilitating prior authorization denials. The LPN collaborates daily with physicians, nursing colleagues, and support staff, delivers care per the patient care plan, participates in quality improvement projects, and may contribute to mentoring and teaching within the team.
