Job Summary
Triage patients by telephone or walk-in to determine care urgency and approve same-day visits when appropriate. Assist physicians in procedures, administer immunizations and allergy shots, and manage prescription medication requests. Process laboratory results, flag abnormal findings for provider review, and chart all procedures performed. Supervise medical assistants as needed and assist with running daily equipment controls. Complete administrative duties including PT-1 forms, patient education, and ensuring correct billing codes. Requires Massachusetts LPN license, three years ambulatory experience, and electronic medical records proficiency. Full-time role in Pittsfield, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation of an accredited school of practical nursing
- Minimum of three years' experience in an ambulatory setting
- Electronic medical records experience
- CPR certification
- Licensed as a practical nurse by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
