Job Summary
Administer vaccines, obtain specimens, and perform clinical office procedures such as PFTs, EKGs, and medication administration as directed by the provider. Document verbal conversations and information into patient records accurately, legibly, and timely while maintaining patient flow. Process prescriptions, enter orders into the lab system, and discuss test results with patients per provider instructions. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to infection control policies. This 40-hour week runs 8:00am to 4:30pm with a potential $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus. Compensation ranges from $26.00 to $33.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
