Job Summary
Administer vaccines, obtain patient specimens, and perform clinical office procedures including PFTs, EKGs, and medication administration. Document verbal conversations and enter information into patient records accurately and timely. Maintain patient flow, process prescriptions, and discuss test results per provider instructions. Complete accurate and timely order entry into the lab system. This 40-hour week runs from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Eligible candidates may receive up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus. Compensation ranges from $26.00 to $33.00 per hour with potential overtime. The role requires a valid NYS LPN license, EMR experience, and knowledge of infection control and patient confidentiality protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
