Job Summary
Administer vaccines, obtain specimens, and perform clinical office procedures such as EKGs and nebulizer treatments as directed by the provider. Document verbal conversations and patient information accurately into the EMR while maintaining timely patient flow. Process prescriptions and discuss test results with patients per provider instructions. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to infection control policies. This full-time role includes an 8:00am to 4:30pm schedule with a 40-hour week. Eligible for up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
