Job Summary
Administer vaccines, obtain specimens, and perform clinical office procedures such as PFTs, EKGs, and medication administration per provider direction. Document verbal conversations and patient information accurately into records while maintaining timely patient flow and processing prescriptions. Discuss test results with patients as instructed and ensure accurate, legible order entry into the lab system. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to infection control and patient confidentiality policies. This Full Time role includes a 30-hour week with Monday-Friday evening shifts and rotating weekend hours, offering up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
