Job Summary
Administer vaccines, obtain urine and blood specimens, and perform clinical office procedures including PFTs, EKGs, and nebulizer treatments as directed by the provider. Document verbal conversations and accurate patient information into electronic medical records while maintaining timely patient flow. Process patient prescriptions, discuss test results per provider instructions, and prepare patients for visits based on office requirements. This role supports urgent care operations in Latham with a 40-hour schedule including weekday mornings and weekend evenings. Candidates must hold a valid NYS LPN license and possess strong EMR skills. Eligible for up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
