Job Summary
Administer and record vaccines, document verbal conversations and information into patient records accurately and timely, and maintain timely patient flow. Prepare patients for visits based on provider requirements, obtain specimens as directed, and perform clinical office procedures including PFTs, EKGs, nebulizers, and medication administration. Process patient prescriptions and discuss test results per provider instructions while ensuring accurate, timely order entry into the lab system. Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion regarding patient data. This Full Time position requires a valid NYS LPN license, previous experience in a medical practice or as a Medical Assistant, and strong EMR skills. Schedule is 40 hours, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
