Job Summary
Administer and record vaccines, document verbal conversations and patient information accurately into records, and maintain timely patient flow. Prepare patients for visits, obtain specimens, and perform clinical office procedures such as PFTs, EKGs, and medication administration as directed by the provider. Process prescriptions, discuss test results per instructions, and ensure accurate order entry into the lab system while adhering to infection control and confidentiality protocols. Requires a valid NYS LPN license, EMR experience, and strong computer skills. Full-time 40-hour schedule from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Eligible for up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
