Job Summary
Administer and record vaccines, document verbal conversations, and maintain timely patient flow in our Urgent Care Latham office. Prepare patients for visits, obtain specimens, and perform clinical procedures such as PFTs, EKGs, and medication administration as directed by the provider. Accurately enter orders into the lab system, process prescriptions, and discuss test results per provider instructions. Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure accurate, legible documentation in patient records. This Full Time role includes a 30-hour week with Monday-Friday evening shifts and rotating weekend coverage, offering up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
