Job Summary
Administer and record vaccines, obtain specimens, and perform clinical office procedures such as PFTs, EKGs, and medication administration as directed by the provider. Document verbal conversations and information into patient records accurately, maintain timely patient flow, and process prescriptions while discussing test results per provider instructions. Work a 30-hour week with Monday-Friday shifts and weekend rotations, eligible for up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus. Requires a valid NYS LPN license, EMR experience, and knowledge of infection control protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
Desired Qualifications
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice or prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Tech
