Job Summary
Administer vaccines, obtain urine and blood specimens, and perform clinical office procedures such as PFTs, EKGs, and nebulizer treatments as directed by the provider. Document verbal conversations and enter information into patient records accurately, legibly, and timely while maintaining patient flow. Process prescriptions, enter orders into the lab system, and discuss test results with patients per provider instructions. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to infection control and patient confidentiality policies. Requires a valid NYS LPN license, EMR experience, and knowledge of nursing protocols. Full-time 40-hour schedule includes specific weekday and weekend hours with eligibility for a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
