Job Summary
Administer and record vaccines, document verbal conversations and patient information accurately into records, and maintain timely patient flow. Obtain specimens from patients as directed by the provider, perform clinical office procedures including PFTs, EKGs, and medication administration, and process prescriptions. Enter orders accurately into the lab system and discuss test results with patients per provider instructions. Requires a valid NYS LPN license, previous LPN experience or prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Tech, strong computer skills with EMR experience, and knowledge of infection control and patient confidentiality protocols. Full-time 30-hour week with every other weekend rotation. Eligible for up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
