Job Summary
Administer and record vaccines, document verbal conversations and patient information accurately into records, and maintain timely patient flow. Prepare patients for visits, obtain specimens such as urine and blood, and perform clinical office procedures including PFTs, EKGs, nebulizers, and medication administration. Process patient prescriptions and discuss test results per provider instructions while ensuring accurate lab order entry. This full-time role in our Urgent Care includes a 40-hour week with specific Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and weekend hours. Candidates must hold a valid NYS LPN license with prior experience in a medical practice or as a Medical Assistant.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
