Job Summary
Administer vaccines, obtain patient specimens, and perform clinical office procedures such as EKGs and medication administration under provider direction. Document verbal conversations and patient information accurately into electronic medical records while maintaining timely patient flow. Process prescriptions, enter orders into the lab system, and discuss test results with patients per provider instructions. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to infection control and patient safety protocols. This full-time role includes a 30-hour week with Monday-Friday evening shifts and rotating weekend hours, offering up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control, environmental safety, and patient confidentiality
- Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion
- Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
