Job Summary
Administer and record vaccines, document verbal conversations and information into patient records accurately and timely, and maintain timely patient flow. Prepare patients for visits, obtain specimens, and perform clinical office procedures such as PFTs, EKGs, and medication administration as directed by the provider. Process patient prescriptions and discuss test results per provider instructions. This Full Time LPN role includes a 40-hour week from 8:00am to 4:30pm and offers up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus. Candidates must hold a valid NYS LPN license with experience in a medical practice or as a Medical Assistant, alongside strong EMR skills.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
