Job Summary
Administer vaccines, obtain specimens, and perform clinical office procedures such as EKGs and medication administration under provider direction. Document verbal conversations and enter information into patient records accurately, while maintaining timely patient flow and processing prescriptions. Ensure accurate and timely order entry into the lab system and discuss test results with patients per provider instructions. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to infection control and patient confidentiality policies. This full-time role includes a Monday-Friday 4:30pm-12:00am shift with weekend rotations, offering up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus. Candidates must hold a valid NYS LPN license with relevant experience and strong EMR skills.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
Desired Qualifications
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice or prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Tech
