Job Summary
Administer vaccines, obtain specimens, and perform clinical office procedures such as PFTs, EKGs, and medication administration as directed by the provider. Document verbal conversations and patient information accurately into records while maintaining timely patient flow. Process prescriptions, enter orders into the lab system, and discuss test results with patients per provider instructions. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to infection control policies. Requires a valid NYS LPN license, EMR experience, and prior LPN or medical assistant experience. Schedule is 40 hours weekly from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Eligible for up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice or prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control, environmental safety, and patient confidentiality
- Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion
- Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
