Job Summary
Administer vaccines, obtain specimens, and perform clinical office procedures such as EKGs and nebulizer treatments as directed by the provider. Document verbal conversations and information into patient records accurately, maintain timely patient flow, and process prescriptions while discussing test results per provider instructions. Ensure accurate and timely order entry into the lab system and maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient data. This role requires a valid NYS LPN license, EMR experience, and knowledge of infection control protocols. Schedule includes 30 hours weekly with a Monday-Friday 4:30pm-12:00am rotation and alternating weekend shifts. Eligible for up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
