Job Summary
Administer vaccines and perform clinical office procedures such as EKGs, nebulizers, and medication administration as directed by the provider. Document verbal conversations and information into patient records accurately, legibly, and timely while maintaining patient flow. Obtain specimens including urine and blood, process prescriptions, and enter orders into the lab system. Discuss test results with patients per provider instructions. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to infection control, environmental safety, and patient confidentiality policies. Requires a valid NYS LPN license, EMR experience, and knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols. Schedule is 40 hours weekly from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
