Job Summary
Administer vaccines, obtain urine and blood specimens, and perform clinical procedures such as PFTs, EKGs, and nebulizer treatments as directed by the provider. Document verbal conversations and patient information accurately into electronic medical records while maintaining timely patient flow. Process prescriptions, enter lab orders, and discuss test results with patients per provider instructions. This 30-hour week includes Monday through Friday shifts from 4:30pm to 12:00am, with every other weekend rotation from 10:00am to 8:00pm. Eligible for up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
