Job Summary
Administer and record vaccines, document verbal conversations and patient information into records, and maintain timely patient flow. Obtain specimens from patients, perform clinical office procedures such as PFTs, EKGs, and medication administration, and process prescriptions. Accurately enter orders into the lab system and discuss test results with patients per provider instructions. Schedule includes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:45am-5:00pm, plus weekends 10:00am-7:30pm. Eligible for up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus. Requires a valid NYS LPN license, EMR experience, and knowledge of infection control and patient confidentiality protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
