Job Summary
Administer vaccines, obtain urine and blood specimens, and perform clinical office procedures like PFTs, EKGs, and nebulizer treatments as directed by the provider. Document verbal conversations and patient information accurately into records while maintaining timely patient flow and processing prescriptions. Enter orders into the lab system and discuss test results with patients per provider instructions. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to infection control and patient confidentiality policies. Requires a valid NYS LPN license, prior LPN experience or related medical assistant background, strong EMR skills, and knowledge of nursing protocols. Full-time 30-hour schedule with every other weekend rotation. Eligible for up to $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
