Job Summary
Administer vaccines, obtain patient specimens, and perform clinical office procedures such as PFTs, EKGs, and medication administration. Document verbal conversations and enter information into patient records accurately, legibly, and timely. Maintain patient flow, process prescriptions, and discuss test results per provider instructions. Work full-time 30-hour weeks Monday through Friday from 4:30pm to 12:00am, with every other weekend rotation from 10:00am to 8:00pm. Eligible for up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus. Requires a valid NYS LPN license, previous LPN or Medical Assistant experience, strong EMR skills, and knowledge of infection control and patient confidentiality protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
