Job Summary
Administer vaccines, obtain specimens, and perform clinical office procedures including PFTs, EKGs, and medication administration as directed by the provider. Document verbal conversations and information into patient records accurately, maintain timely patient flow, and process prescriptions. Enter orders into the lab system and discuss test results with patients per provider instructions. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to infection control and patient confidentiality policies. Requires a valid NYS LPN license, EMR experience, and knowledge of basic nursing principles. Full-time 40-hour schedule with specific weekday and weekend hours. Eligible for up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
