Job Summary
Administer vaccines, obtain specimens, and perform clinical office procedures such as PFTs, EKGs, and medication administration as directed by the provider. Document verbal conversations and information into patient records accurately, maintain timely patient flow, and process prescriptions. Enter orders into the lab system and discuss test results with patients per provider instructions. This Full Time LPN role includes a 30-hour week with Monday-Friday 4:30pm-12:00am shifts and every other weekend rotation of 10:00am-8:00pm. Eligible for up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus. Compensation ranges from $26.00 to $33.00 per hour. Valid NYS LPN license and EMR experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
