Job Summary
Administer and record vaccines, document verbal conversations, and maintain timely patient flow in an accurate, legible, and timely manner. Obtain specimens from patients, perform clinical office procedures such as PFTs, EKGs, and medication administration, and process prescriptions. Discuss test results with patients per provider instructions and ensure accurate, timely order entry into the lab system. This 40-hour week runs from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Eligible for up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
