Job Summary
Administer vaccines, obtain urine and blood specimens, and perform clinical office procedures such as PFTs, EKGs, and medication administration as directed by the provider. Document verbal conversations and enter information into patient records accurately, legibly, and timely while maintaining patient flow and processing prescriptions. Obtain test results and discuss them with patients per provider instructions. Ensure accurate and timely order entry into the lab system and maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient data. Maintain knowledge of infection control policies and EMR skills. This 40-hour, full-time role includes an 8:00am to 4:30pm schedule and offers a competitive hourly wage with potential overtime pay.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN license
- Previous LPN experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech
- Strong computer skills with experience using EMR
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental safety
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality
- Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records
- Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques
