Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse provides resident-focused care within the full scope of LPN practice in a home-like environment. Responsibilities include assessing health needs, recording vital signs, administering injections and medications, dressing changes, immunizations, and specimen collection; supervising and directing healthcare aides; coordinating with pharmacies for prescriptions, arranging referrals, and ensuring nursing supplies are stocked; educating residents and families; assisting in emergencies under supervision; maintaining current clinical knowledge through required in-services and meetings; and-upholding person-centered care. Requirements include current CLPNA registration, CPR/BCLS, a vulnerable-sector police check within six months, and demonstrated leadership, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to be on feet for an entire shift. Location: Edmonton, AB, Canada. Work is on-site (on-site remote option). Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Current membership in good standing with CLPNA
- CPR/BCLS for healthcare providers
- Clear police information check with the vulnerable sector (dated within last 6 months)
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and computer skills; problem-solving ability; commitment to person-centered care
- Awareness of safety, hazard identification, and safe work practices
- Physical and mental fitness to perform duties (lifting up to 75 pounds) and ability to work on feet for full shift
