Job Summary
As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Children's Habilitation Center, you will administer and chart treatments and medications for special needs patients, maintain cleanliness and order of the treatment cart, and conduct frequent assessments of assigned patients. Responsibilities include directing team assistants, documenting wound care, notifying physicians of new breakdowns, monitoring the healing process, participating in quality improvement activities, and training caregivers. All nursing staff are trained to provide specialized care for ventilator-dependent patients and maintain a compassionate, family-involved approach in patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification
- Experience in nursing care for special needs patients
- Ability to administer treatments and medications
- Skills in wound care documentation
- Knowledge of tracheostomy care procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in advanced cardiac life support
- Certification in pediatric advanced life support
- Certification in intravenous therapy
- Training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation
