Licensed Practical Nurse

Review medication administration practices at residential sites for compliance with prescriber orders, DCF requirements, and licensing standards. Verify that medications are ordered, received, stored, documented, and administered correctly, while monitoring clinical protocols for vital signs, blood glucose, allergies, and side effects. Observe certified staff administering medication to complete required annual competency observations and documentation. Identify training needs and provide coaching, in-service education, and technical assistance in partnership with program supervisors and the RN. Review Medication Occurrence Reports to identify patterns and recommend corrective interventions. Support medication reorders, reviews, and prescriber paperwork coordination. Maintain oversight of medication rooms, ensuring policies and certifications remain current. Work full-time 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
