Job Summary
Provide patient/family centered nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse within MUSC Community Physicians (MCP). Assist with data collection, formulate plans for patient care, participate in evaluation of nursing actions, and support care delivery by interviewing patients, recording data, obtaining vital signs, preparing/examining patients for procedures, and documenting findings in the medical record. Maintain accurate documentation, perform screenings, coordinate with the care team, and prioritize patient needs while adhering to approved policies and procedures. Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and respect for patient culture and values. Must hold an LPN license in SC or a compact state and maintain current BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program
- Licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required (AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or ARC CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer)
- One year of LPN experience preferred
