Job Summary
Conduct thorough nursing assessments and document care plans for residents in alignment with Bethany policies and regulatory requirements. Mitigate unsafe conditions and adhere to safety guidelines while collaborating with the Interdisciplinary Team on care conferences and education opportunities. Lead Health Care Aides and assume the 'In Charge' role as needed to foster a responsible, resident-centered atmosphere. This variable casual position requires an Alberta-licensed LPN with CPR certification and preferred dementia care experience, located at the Sundre Seniors' Supportive Living Facility.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program
- Previous License
- Active Registration and in good standing with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA)
- Able to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment
- Demonstrates ability to understand, speak, read and write effectively in English
- Excellent observation, communication and critical thinking skills
- Current CPR certification
- Successful candidates will be required to obtain a Criminal Background Check
- Provide proof of all mandatory immunizations
Desired Qualifications
- Practical Nurse experience is preferred
- Dementia Care Certificate and experience preferred
- Knowledge of RAI/MDS 2.0 tool
- Computer skills and electronic documentation is preferred
