Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (Casual) in Airdrie, Alberta. Responsibilities include resident-centered care, conducting comprehensive nursing assessments in collaboration with Registered Nurses and Interdisciplinary Team members, accurate documentation of assessments, interventions and outcomes, maintaining safety, supporting resident independence and dignity, participating in Interdisciplinary Team meetings and care conferences, attending education opportunities, promoting teamwork, and providing leadership and supervision to Health Care Aides when in charge.
Required Qualifications
- LPN license and active registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA)
- Graduate of a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program
- Ability to work in English (spoken and written)
- CPR certification
- Dementia Care Certificate and experience preferred
- Knowledge of RAI/MDS 2.0 tool (preferred)
- Computer skills and electronic documentation (preferred)
- Demonstrates ability to understand, speak, read and write effectively in English
- Ability to work in a physically and mentally demanding environment
