Job Summary
LPN role at Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services with responsibility for assisting in nursing services under RN supervision, delegating tasks to nursing staff, monitoring patients for signs of adverse change, and notifying attending physicians of emergencies. Performs or supports duties to ensure quality nursing care in a geriatric unit, may assume charge nurse duties and cover during emergencies, and may perform Nursing Assistant duties as needed. Requires a high school diploma and an active LPN license, CPR certification, ability to direct unit staff, work under pressure, and adherence to facility policies. Training includes in-service and online modules; background checks/drug-free workplace; EOE. Location: New Orleans, LA.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- High school diploma
- CPR certification (yearly)
- State license in good standing
- Willing to work as charge nurse and cover emergencies
- Willing to perform Nursing Assistant duties as needed
- Geriatric nursing interest
- Attend in-service and online training
- Adhere to policies and procedures
- Ability to direct unit staff and ensure timely completion of work
- Dependable, flexible, able to work under pressure
- Read and follow personnel and department policies
