Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role at CareNow/HCA Healthcare in North Charleston, SC. Provide clinical nursing care including vital signs, EKGs, IM injections, and wound/therapy administration; manage patient charts in the EHR; apply splints, dressings, and bandages; assist with check-in/check-out and chart audits; maintain records on in-house and sent-out lab work; keep patients informed of progress; ensure adherence to occupational procedures and client preferences. Requires graduation from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program, current state LPN license, and ability to obtain BLS within 30 days and federal Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening certifications within 3 months. Experience with EHR and 1+ year of clinical patient care experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical/vocational nursing
- Current Practical/Vocational nursing license in state of residency
- 1+ year of clinical experience preferred
- Experience using an EHR system is extremely helpful
- Ability to obtain a BLS Certification within 30 days of start
- Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion
- Must obtain Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion
