Job Summary
As a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Cardiology Unit, you will perform systematic assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs, implement care plans, and evaluate care effectiveness. Key qualifications include holding an active LPN license and completing required certifications, such as AHA BLS and ACLS within specified timeframes. This full-time position involves working in a fast-paced environment focused on providing high-quality cardiac care.
Required Qualifications
- AHA ACLS within 120 days
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days
- IV certification
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 120 days
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) within 180 days
- If no experience as an RN or LPN in a hospital setting or it has been more than 5 years since last worked in a hospital setting, must pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) within 30 days
Desired Qualifications
- Current Practical Nurse license from a compact state
- CardioVascular Disease CEU hours - 8 per year
- Stroke CEU Hours - 4 per year
