Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) assists in directing nursing services on the unit under RN supervision, delegates duties to professional and non-professional nursing staff, monitors patients for signs of adverse change, notifies attending physician of emergencies, implements changes in orders as instructed by physicians, and performs other duties as assigned. Requires NC LPN license, CPR certification, and high school diploma; preferred readiness to work as charge nurse and during emergencies to assure adequate coverage; geriatric nursing passion and ability to follow doctors’ orders.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current, valid North Carolina Board of Nursing license
- High school graduate
- CPR certified yearly
- Ability to provide quality nursing care and follow doctors’ orders
- Willing to work as charge nurses and cover emergencies to ensure adequate staffing
