Job Summary
Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a family medicine clinic by assisting with minor surgical procedures, performing point-of-care testing, administering injections and vaccinations, and maintaining sterile equipment. Greet and register patients, schedule appointments, escort individuals to examination rooms, and accurately document all procedures in the patient chart. Manage administrative tasks including filing documentation, sorting mail, preparing billings, and collecting payments for uninsured services. Maintain high standards of professionalism, patient safety, and confidentiality while adhering to established cleanliness and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a two-year LPN diploma from an accredited institution
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta
- Minimum one year of customer service experience
- Experience using EMR software, such as Med Access
- Strong communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills
- Strong clinical, customer service, and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information in accordance with the Health Information Act and organizational privacy policies
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel
- Current CPR certification at the Health Care Provider (BLS) level
- Vaccine Storage and Immunization training
