Job Summary
LPN providing nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse/Physician in the Family Birthplace/Blount Memorial Hospital. Responsibilities include performing nursing duties per individualized care plans, monitoring and documenting patient status (vital signs, labs, drains, dressings), reporting changes to the RN/Physician, maintaining confidential medical records, administering medications per policy, collecting and documenting data with equipment such as glucometer and pulse oximetry, orienting patients to room/unit routines, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires completion of an LPN program, current LPN license (compact/multistate preferred), and at least one year of LPN experience (or acceptable substitutions such as residency program completion). Non-management role reporting to supervisor/manager/director/executive with a Day shift in the United States at Blount Memorial Hospital’s Family Birthplace.
Required Qualifications
- LPN license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or licensed as LPN in the state of work
- Completion of an LPN program recognized by the State Board of Nursing
- In lieu options include completion of Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or comparable residency
- In lieu of LPN program completion, program equivalency recognized by the State Board of Nursing
- In lieu of one year LPN experience, acceptable enrollment in an accredited LPN to RN transition program
