Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse provides clinical nursing support to Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee by communicating clinical information to patients and businesses, scheduling tests and consultations, obtaining clinical specimens, assessing patients, performing clinical office procedures and maintaining adequate clinical supplies. Gathers and records patient data, assists with immunizations/injections, counsels patients on health-related issues, coordinates referrals and prior authorizations, triages portal messages, and supports physician with med/surg procedures. Requires Tennessee RN license (LPN) and one year of medical office experience; involves use of glucometer, BP cuff, stethoscope, thermometer, computer, and pharmaceutical coordination; onsite office environment in Antioch, TN.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee
- One year of experience in medical office environment
- Competent in the use Glucometer, BP cuff, thermometer, computer, stethoscope, audio scope, business phone and various oral and injectable medications
