Job Summary
Provides clinical nursing support to Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee by communicating clinical information to patients and businesses, scheduling tests and consultations, obtaining clinical specimens, assessing patients, performing clinical office procedures and maintaining adequate clinical supplies. Completes immunizations and injections as appropriate, triages phone calls and patient portal messages, coordinates referrals and consultations, obtains prior authorization for medications and diagnostic testing, assists physicians with med/surg procedures, and maintains universal precautions and office lab quality.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee
- One year of experience in medical office environment
- Competent in the use of glucometer, BP cuff, thermometer, computer, stethoscope, audio scope, and various oral and injectable medications
