Job Summary
Provides clinical nursing support at the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee within Williamson Health in Brentwood, TN. Responsibilities include communicating clinical information to patients and business partners, scheduling tests and consultations, obtaining clinical specimens, assessing patients, performing clinical office procedures, maintaining adequate clinical supplies, triaging phone calls, coordinating referrals and prior authorizations, assisting physicians with med/surg procedures, immunizations and injections, and counseling patients on health-related issues. Requires Tennessee nursing licensure and a nursing diploma/degree; office-based environment with equipment such as glucometer, BP cuff, thermometer, stethoscope, and injectable medications. Safety and quality standards, universal precautions, and coordination with pharmacies are also emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse license in Tennessee
- Nursing diploma or degree from an accredited program
- One year of experience in medical office environment
- Competence with Glucometer, BP cuff, thermometer, computer, stethoscope, and injectable medications
