Job Summary
Determine donor eligibility through medical history interviews, physical examinations, and blood testing while managing informed consent and confidential self-exclusion. Evaluate donor reactions and medical emergencies per SOPs, coordinating donor transport to emergency facilities when necessary. Review laboratory test results, including Serological Protein Electrophoresis, and notify donors of unsuitable findings. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs and manage employee incidents requiring occupational health evaluation. Act as a Pandemic Coordinator for local threat investigations when authorized. Requires current LPN or LVN licensure, CPR/AED certification, and two years of clinical experience. Located in Thornton, CO, with an hourly wage range of $28.16 to $38.72.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy
- Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
- Bilingual
