Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse/Paramedic needed at a blood plasma donation facility. Responsibilities include selecting suitable plasmapheresis donors by performing physical exams and medical histories, reviewing donor data for suitability, counseling and follow-up regarding exposures, providing confidential counseling to unacceptable donors, managing donor reactions, assisting with employee training, coordinating with Medical/Laboratory Director, and traveling up to 25 miles for training or staffing needs. Must read and interpret SOPs and guidelines (FDA, OSHA, CLIA) and operate/demonstrate proficiency with donor processing equipment. Required: current LPN/Paramedic license in good standing for the applying state, CPR/BLS, high school diploma or equivalent (or higher), ability to read/write English, and reliable transportation. Phlebotomy experience is a plus; strong customer service and computer skills (Word) are expected. Competitive wages with a $3,000 sign-on bonus; benefits include paid training, medical/dental, PTO, 401(k). New graduates welcome. Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in walk-in/standing positions; travel up to 25 miles for training or staffing.
Required Qualifications
- Current nursing (LPN)/Paramedic license in good standing for state applying for
- Current CPR, BLS certification
- High school diploma or equivalent, associates, bachelors degree, or above (must provide documentation)
- Ability to read and write English
- Phlebotomy experience a plus
- Basic proficiency in computer operations (Microsoft Word)
- Legible handwriting
- Customer service skills
- Punctual, reliable, and have reliable transportation
